Join super/collider for some solar themed activities. Artist Liz West will present a talk on light and perception, explaining how her artistic investigations into the nature of perception have revealed that our understanding of colour can only be realised through the presence of light. Diego Valente will be running a cyanotype workshop, intertwining one of the earliest photographic processes with modern technology, using digital images to print onto pre-sensitised cyanotype paper. There will also be an opportunity to make a solargraph camera with Anthony Carr, to capture long exposure pinhole camera photographs of the sun’s path. Continue Reading
